ABOUT Rachel Pires

Rachel Pires grew up in Princeton Junction, New Jersey. She graduated from Boston University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication. Rachel is the author of the book Diet Enlightenment, which was published in 2014. After having two kids, she then released the updated second edition in July of 2020.

After years of personally struggling with yo-yo dieting and binge-eating, Rachel had a total paradigm shift over a decade ago that led to what she likes to refer to as diet enlightenment. Since then, she has effortlessly kept off the weight, even after two pregnancies. It is now her mission to help others discover how easy weight loss and maintenance can be with the right approach.



Rachel is a published author and professional writer with over ten years of experience in writing, editing, and marketing. She has worked on both the agency and client-side in the entertainment, education, and medical industries -- working for companies such as Creative Artists Agency (CAA), Ionic Media, Educational Testing Service (ETS), and Professional Sports Concussion Care.

Rachel lives in Boca Raton, Florida with her husband and two children. In her free time, she is an avid dancer, an advanced PADI certified scuba diver, and a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo.
